Superintendent says district is working to fix early‑year bus routing problems

The Big Spring School District superintendent told the board on Sept. 2 that transportation routing and timing problems after the start of the school year are being actively addressed. Dr. Grante said the district experienced ride‑time and scheduling challenges in the first five days, attributed in part to route changes, driver familiarity and a new transportation contract, and that staff are meeting daily with the contractor to make incremental improvements.
