Brian Tinken took the oath of office at the start of the Sept. 17 Thunder River (Sunriver) Service District managing board meeting, promising to “support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Oregon, the laws thereof, and the policies of the Sunriver Service District.” Chair Boes led the brief swearing‑in near the flag and welcomed Tinken to what the chair described as “a generally fun board.”
