City planning staff and consultant Jessica Hersey presented the draft comprehensive plan update and requested council feedback before the formal hearings. Hersey said the city is planning to accommodate “just under 25,000 folks by 2045,” with an estimated addition of approximately 3,700 housing units, 2,100 jobs and 143 emergency beds based on county allocations.
