Merrick County accepts $274,133.75 bid for bridge replacement
The Merrick County Board of Supervisors accepted The Diamond Engineering Co.'s low bid of $274,133.75 for a bridge replacement using a concrete box culvert; the company proposed a Dec. 18, 2026 completion date. Two higher bids were also opened.

The Merrick County Board of Supervisors voted Sept. 22 to accept a $274,133.75 bid from The Diamond Engineering Co. to replace a county bridge with a concrete box culvert. The motion to accept the low bid was moved by Angela Weller, seconded by Mark Wiegert, and carried on a roll-call vote of all ayes.
