Following an executive session on personnel, the Kempner City Council approved the appointment and commission of Reserve Peace Officer Jonathan Fernandez with an effective date of Dec. 13, 2024. Councilmember Rob Green (Place 3) first moved to return the item from the table and then moved for the appointment; Councilmember David Richardson (Place 1) seconded, and the motion passed with all present voting in favor.
