Following a closed session for attorney-client and personnel matters under NCGS §143-318.11(a)(3) and (a)(6), the Washington County Board of Commissioners voted in open session to waive the normal external recruitment process for most positions and approved the County Manager's recommendation to promote Jamar Whitaker from Interim EMS Director to permanent EMS Director effective immediately.
