Billing errors leave N.E.W. Para-Medic with $225 surplus, board told
A financial report to the N.E.W. Para-Medic Rescue Inc. board said vendor billing errors and duplicate charges reduced an expected surplus to $225; the board approved filing the report and asked for further review.

Romenesco told the board on Jan. 26 that runs have been billed improperly since EMSMC began handling the organization's billing, with residents billed as non-residents, some runs assigned to the wrong group (NEW vs. Gold Cross), and duplicate billing occurring during correction efforts. As a result, the "large surplus we thought we had is only $225," the financial report said.
