During the Library Department Head’s report, commissioners heard several operational updates. Staff described a partnership with the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) for a children’s program planned in June and said, "We will have a guest storytime reader on June 9 from MDHHS." The minutes also note that staff member Rachel is leaving and "will only occasionally sub." The Friends are sponsoring the youth Summer Reading Program, and the stated prize for completion is a personal pizza from Franco’s in Center Line.
