Board approves caseload reports amid rising applications for services

The Las Animas County Board of Human Services approved caseload counts covering adult, child, and economic-security programs after staff reported rising applications for long-term services, Medicaid and SNAP that will increase staff workloads.

County staff presented caseload counts and activity by program (Adult and Aging Services, Therapeutic Services, Child Support Services, Youth and Family Services, and Economic Security). Director Michael Aragon told the board the economic-security report was omitted from the packet and will be included at the October meeting.
