Board approves multiple resolutions and a $97,500 budget amendment, authorizes FY2027 FTA grant application

At the Sept. 9 meeting the Burke County Board approved several resolutions and funding actions. Commissioner R. Tommy Nix moved to approve a resolution regarding the Vogtle Parkway alignment (Highway 24, Thompson Bridge, Ebenezer Church and Jack Delaigle Roads); the motion carried unanimously. Assistant County Manager Adam Flakes then explained that the Hazard Mitigation Plan had been revised to meet FEMA compliance and the Board approved the Mitigation Plan and accompanying resolution.
