At its Aug. 17 meeting the Mount Vernon Landmark Commission approved certificates of appropriateness for 602 Miller St. and 102 Pittsburgh St., noted the withdrawal of an application for 602 West Main, and discussed screening of rear-yard metal containers.

The Mount Vernon Landmark Commission convened Aug. 17 and confirmed a four-member quorum, the chair said, listing Mr. Jordan, Bobby and Ralph among those present. The board approved the July 24 minutes and conducted business on two certificate-of-appropriateness applications.
