Assessor Winnie reports 806 open permits, final assessment roll due July 1

Assessor Winnie gave a department update covering permit volume, assessment timing and deed activity. She reported that 806 permits are currently open for the town of Fallsburg (numbers are "fluid," she said), and that staff process every permit through a centralized workflow that includes on-site inspections by building department staff. Winnie also said the town submitted the roll and the assessment roll will be finalized on July 1, 2026; the roll will produce school tax bills for Fallsburg, Liberty, Monticello and Tri-Valley and the village bills listed in the update.
