Selectboard Chair Trevor Gray reported he has been researching how other towns and the State handle winter pay for weeks that do not require 40 hours of work. He said most other towns work 40 hours even when weather reduces duties and proposed exploring a stipend to compensate employees for being on call from December through April. Board members discussed that employees may not be on call every day and emphasized the need to find a workable approach for current and future staff. No change to the personnel policy was adopted at the meeting.
