City staff and Economic Development Corporation representatives described a TxDOT right-of-way beautification proposal intended to improve first impressions of Dalhart along major corridors. The multi-phase project would be managed by the city, funded by the DEDC and maintained by contracted crews; designs favor durable materials, granite, crushed rock and drought-tolerant plantings to control long-term maintenance costs.
