Mayor Becker updates council on land purchase, SS4A open house, TxDOT coordination and RFP deadlines
Mayor Ron Becker told the council the title company has been paid on a pending land purchase (seller resolving a document glitch), reported a successful SS4A open house with the survey open through Sept. 27, and announced RFP deadlines for waste/trash services on Sept. 10, 2026. He also noted coordination with TxDOT about the Highway 171 railroad crossing.

Mayor Ron Becker opened the Sept. 8 meeting with several administrative updates. He said the title company has been paid for a pending land purchase but the seller is "working out a glitch with the documents on his end," and that there have been six permits issued for the Brookside development (three houses and three villas).
