Some DeSoto council members push back on adding TML summit items without briefing
Several council members said they had not received briefing materials after the TML summit and objected to adding items to the city's legislative agenda without discussion; the mayor and city manager said the items were informational and subject to council approval, so the body polled each item individually before adopting the packet.

Council members pressed staff for clarity about how items from the Texas Municipal League policy summit were incorporated into the proposed legislative agenda.
