Perinton board adopts proclamations for VFW Buddy Poppy program and Apraxia Awareness Day
The Town Board adopted two proclamations: support for the VFW Buddy Poppy program (with Post 8495 accepted the proclamation) and designation of May 14 as Apraxia Awareness Day, honoring Owen Bushela and highlighting early intervention for childhood apraxia of speech.

Councilman Michael Folino presented a proclamation recognizing the Veterans of Foreign Wars Buddy Poppy program and acknowledged Post 8495 commander Eric Harrison and vice commander Jay Adreden. Folino urged residents to attend Buddy Poppy pop-up sales and the Memorial Day parade; the board voted to adopt the proclamation.
