County engineer seeks board OK to finalize Community Crossings commitment letter; warns county match could rise

County Engineer Bridal Allen told the board the Community Crossings grant application is due next Wednesday and that the county needs a financial commitment letter with the exact project estimate before submission. "Our estimate may be above the amount where 80% of the project would be more than 1000000 dollars which would means we would be paying more than our 20% because the grant's capped at 1000000 dollars," Allen said, and she asked permission for the administrator to sign the letter once final numbers are available.
