The Burke County Finance Committee voted unanimously July 3 to approve two payments of $55,000.00 each to the county’s Samaritan Fund Program for two approved employees. Commissioner Terri Lodge Kelly moved to approve the payments and Commissioner Rodney Braswell seconded; the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
