The Somerset town attorney, Ron, told the council that recommendation 7 would add a narrow procedural option to the variance procedure that aims to reduce last-minute scheduling problems. "If time allows, the mayor, on behalf of the town council, may rule on any prehearing requests for continuances or similar procedural matters," Ron said during the work session.
