The court opened bids on three county-owned parcels and received one bid for a small triangular parcel on 9th Street in Burkburnett. The only submission — from J.B. Riley Jr. — offered $100 for the parcel, which had been carved out when a truck route was constructed. A commissioner moved to accept the high bid and the court approved the sale by voice vote, 5-0.
