Wichita County clarifies lodging reimbursement policy for in-county events
Commissioners approved an addition to the county personnel policy (section 4.10.4) stating county officials and employees are not eligible for lodging, mileage or meal reimbursement when conferences or training occur in the county or contiguous counties, with exceptions for extraordinary circumstances approved in advance by the court.

The Wichita County Commissioners Court voted 5-0 to add clarifying language to the county personnel policy (lodging section 4.10.4). The new language specifies that county officials and employees attending conferences or training conducted within the county or in contiguous counties are not eligible for reimbursement of lodging, mileage or meal expenses unless the court approves an exception in advance for extraordinary circumstances.
