Council holds first public hearing on town budget; second hearing set for October

The council opened a public hearing on the town budget; the clerk told the board that a notice to taxpayers had been posted and that this was the first public hearing on the budget. “This is our 1st public hearing,” the clerk said, noting the budget is mostly unchanged because the town “doesn't have a lot to work with.”
