At the meeting residents urged the council to step up code enforcement and to limit further sales to rental owners until existing rental properties are improved. Town staff explained that code enforcement is complaint-driven to manage costs and that the usual process involves filing a complaint form, assessing fees and moving to court if property owners do not comply.
