LaGrange highlights progress and missing link for The Thread trail network
City officials reported 14.5 miles of The Thread completed, two recent 1.2-mile extensions, and a prioritized 0.6-mile missing segment needed to connect Hallisand Elementary School to WT Edmondson Park; GDOT is constructing an additional two-mile Hamilton Road segment.

Mayor Jim Arrington provided an update on The Thread, LaGrange's multiuse trail network, saying the system will total 33 miles when complete and that 14.5 miles are finished to date. He noted two recent 1.2-mile extensions and said the Hamilton Road segment is under construction as part of a widening project; the Georgia Department of Transportation is adding a two-mile segment.
