Council narrowly approves second height variance after debate over grading and ADA access
After lengthy public comment and council debate over precedent and finished-grade measurement, the council approved a second variance allowing an additional height on the western side of the house with remediation plans including grading, retaining walls and landscaping.

The Town Council approved variance number two for Plat 19, Lot 2, permitting additional height on the western side of a new home where a walkout basement increased the building's measured elevation. The variance passed after a roll-call vote (three in favor, two opposed).
