The meeting opened with administration of oaths for testimony and for interpreters. The clerk asked witnesses to "solemnly swear or affirm that the testimony you're about to give today is the whole truth" and asked prospective interpreters to affirm they would translate between English, Spanish and Creole to the best of their ability.
