Clinton County seeks extra funds to finish materials-management plan rewrite
A county presenter told commissioners three of four sections of the materials-management plan are complete but complications over siting and multiple stakeholders have slowed progress; the board approved additional consultant funding and staff said the plan must be complete by July 2027 under the state timeline.

Kate, the county presenter on the materials-management plan update, told the Ways & Means committee the county has completed three of four sections of the plan but encountered unexpected complications that lengthened the process. “We re still on target to finish within the state's required timeline, which will be July 2027,” Kate said, adding that much of the consultant cost would be reimbursed by the materials-management plan grant.
