The board issued a series of proclamations at the start of the meeting recognizing October as Community Planning Month, October 4–10 as National 4‑H Week in Alachua County, and October 4–10 as Fire Prevention Week. Growth Management Director Jeff Hayes thanked staff for long‑range planning work and described upcoming agenda items tied to the county comprehensive plan and bicycle/ped master plan.
