County Engineer Paul Whittano reported a string of favorable bids and asked the Board of Supervisors to advance contract awards to the board's upcoming formal meeting. For a 12-by-6-foot precast concrete box culvert for the Angle Road bridge project, Paul said the county received bids from Progressive Structures (Luxemburg, Iowa) and Lincoln Materials (West Des Moines) and "we would recommend to the board to award the contract to Progressive Structures" for the materials portion.
