The Johnson County Board of Supervisors approved an omnibus set of fiscal year 2027 contracts funded by opioid settlement proceeds totaling $236,569. The package included four line items: an ambulance service contract for $25,000 to support community-based overdose prevention and response education; a $10,500 award to Community and Family Resources for middle-school opioid prevention at Solon and Regina Middle Schools; a $125,000 allocation to Public Health for naloxone and harm-reduction supply distribution; and a $76,069 contract for the Sheriff’s Office to support a jail‑based medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) program for incarcerated individuals.
