Chief Rexrove told council the Monmouth Fire Department responded to 113 calls in August and 878 calls so far this year. He highlighted equipment concerns at the North Fire Station: the breathing-air compressor that fills SCBA cylinders has experienced repeated issues, and the technician told him many replacement parts are obsolete. "He is recommending that we seriously consider replacing that unit at some point in the near in the, you know, in the within a year or 2," Rexrove said.
