Board to consider $85,000 contract with Lighting Up Language LLC for language‑access work

Paula Rami de Guajera, community engagement policy coordinator (S11), presented a recommended service agreement with Lighting Up Language LLC for language-access planning, development and procurement of technology at a contract amount of $85,000 funded by American Rescue Plan Act dollars. She described a committee process that evaluated 10 proposals, conducted three rounds of interviews and selected Lighting Up Language; the committee’s unanimous vote includes participation from Supervisor Green Douglas despite her absence from the meeting.
