Commission elects chair, sets next steps for bond introduction to county council
The commission elected its chair by unanimous voice vote, approved moving Resolution 26 VCEDC‑one to county council for introduction of a bond ordinance (target Aug. 12) and was told bond closing could occur in late September if council approves.

At the opening of the session, attorney Mike Schottmeyer called the meeting to order, noted the presence of three commissioners and led the Pledge of Allegiance. The body conducted an election of officers; nominations were made and the commission recorded a unanimous voice vote to appoint a chair.
