Jun 18, 2026

After engineering clarifications, the Atwood City Council approved allocating $168,300 from city funds to the Third Reimbursement Agreement with SurePoint Ag Systems; the figure incorporates a previously uncounted $12,500 study and reflects adjustments from an earlier $380,109 draft.

The full story

Council discussion on the Third Reimbursement Agreement with SurePoint Ag Systems focused on reconciling the draft agreement's line items and the city's final contribution. The draft initially listed an estimated city contribution of $380,109, which was $24,309 higher than previously discussed. Engineer David Blau clarified which costs were part of the original probable construction costs; the only expense not previously included was the original study for $12,500. After that clarification the council determined a city allocation of $168,300 and approved the allocation on a motion by Councilman Dietrich Kastens, seconded by Councilwoman Diana Tongish.
