Board approves new Assistant Public Works Director position and several recreation hires

County Manager Merv Waldrop told the Board funds are available to advertise and hire a Road Superintendent position that will be renamed Assistant Public Works Director; Commissioner R. Tommy Nix moved to approve the position and the motion passed unanimously. The Board also approved advertising and hiring for three recreation positions: a part-time Boxing/Fitness Center Supervisor, a part-time Recreation/Concession Aide, and a Summer Recreation Intern; Manager Waldrop again stated funds were available and the motion carried unanimously.
