Burke County approves $50,000 commitment for Thompson Bridge replacement with GDOT

County Manager Merv Waldrop told commissioners the county’s obligation for the Georgia Department of Transportation project to replace Thompson Bridge over Brier Creek would be $50,000 and that TSPLOST funds could be used to cover the obligation. Commissioner R. Tommy Nix moved to approve the agreement with GDOT and the motion passed unanimously on April 8.
