Council addresses WWTP decommissioning cost estimates, approves effluent removal contract
Engineer Haibach said a decommissioning cost estimate for the Waste Water Treatment Plant was higher than expected; Council approved a purchase order to Chivers Construction Co. not to exceed $5,000 to remove excess effluent and added the decommissioning cost to the budget.

Engineer Eric Haibach told Council he is working with Chivers Construction Co. and the EPA to develop a plan for decommissioning the Village's Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). He said he has received a cost estimate for decommissioning that he "is not happy with" and that he hopes the cost will come down.
