The full story
The Sherborn Board of Health voted on Feb. 11 to grant a temporary variance through May 2026 to K Bros., doing business as C&L Frosty, allowing the frozen-dessert shop to open while an ADA-compliant bathroom is constructed. The variance waives strict plumbing-code timing under Food Code 5-201.11 but includes conditions: the applicant must provide status updates at the board's first meetings in March, April and May and must return to the board if the deadline will not be met; the variance is not transferable during the variance period and the board asked for documentation on transfer of ownership of the public water supply and subsequent deed recording prior to the March meeting.
