City staff presented calculations required by Chatham County for the 2026 local tax digest and recommended adoption of the calculated rollback millage rate of 4.096 mills. Staff said the rollback represents approximately a 2.4% decrease from the current rate of 4.197 and will provide property tax relief while maintaining funds for municipal operations and capital projects.
