Public works expands CDL training as county faces shortfall of plow drivers
Staff said five employees are actively pursuing CDLs with road tests planned in October; the county reported about seven fewer plow drivers than last year and asked permission to fill maintenance positions to address shortages.

Mark (S8) told the committee the CDL program has five employees actively pursuing licenses and that the department hopes to schedule road tests in October. "We have 5 guys that are actively, pursuing their CDL... I'm hoping in October, we're gonna be putting them for a road test," he said.
