During the budget presentation, staff said the bulk of new federal grant funding in the proposed FY2026 budget will support the 19th Street Complete Street project (Watson Drive to Meadow Lane) and associated intersection work at Route 33. Staff said the 19th Street effort is budgeted at roughly $8.7 million this cycle—primarily engineering and match costs this year—so much of the actual construction spending will roll into future fiscal years.
