The Bayard City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 897 on Aug. 25, 2026, rezoning parcels 100028327 and 100028335 from residential to commercial for Tate Rice. Council member Jamie Hernandez introduced the ordinance and moved to waive the three readings; the motion passed on a roll-call vote of AYES: Henkel, Hernandez, Kraus, Schukei and Baird, NAYS: none.
