USPS: multiple solicitations for a Gearhart contractor failed; agency will keep soliciting while pursuing cluster-box option

USPS district staff told the council that recent solicitations to recruit a contract operator for Gearhart have produced no viable candidates. "We solicited as recently as last week, and then either it didn't come in feasibly as far as the finance were concerned, or they just ultimately weren't interested after the needs and the ask from the postal service," a USPS manager said on the record.
