Council appoints Steven Freshour as Fire Chief after one-year interim term
The Tower City Council unanimously appointed Steven Freshour as Fire Chief at its Sept. 2 special meeting; the appointment carries no change in pay or duties and follows a one-year interim assignment.

The Tower City Council voted unanimously on Sept. 2 to appoint Steven Freshour as the city’s Fire Chief after he served roughly one year as interim. Clerk/Treasurer Tammy Mortaloni told the council Freshour had been Interim Fire Chief for one year and Freshour’s appointment was made "with no change in pay or duties." The motion by Councilor Anderson, seconded by Mayor Setterberg, carried on a unanimous voice vote.
