Trustees debate shared Franklin County deputy, table vehicle transfer
Village trustees discussed a proposed three-year shared-deputy contract with Franklin County and a separate proposal to transfer the village police car as payment for a first year of service. Village President George Dudzinski presented a proposed three-year contract with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office to provide a deputy shared equally among four municipalities. The proposal would split costs 25% to each municipality and cover a multi-year term; several trustees urged a shorter commitment. Dudzinski said he would have the contract rewritten for a one-year term and present it at the next meeting.
