Finance staff: payroll down, director interviews scheduled and payments process changing

Finance staff reported operational updates to the committee, including that payroll costs are meaningfully lower than a year ago in part because of reduced contracted staffing, that the county is working to increase census at Vernon Manor with existing staff, and that interviews for the finance director position were scheduled for the following afternoon. "We have interviews tomorrow afternoon for the finance director position," staff said.
