The Ways and Means Committee approved a $4,000 contract to obtain a second cost estimate for the county’s Humane Society project. A planner said the second estimate is intended to reassure the public that the La Veil number is accurate and that staff will return in July with a formal allocation proposal from the 27–32 capital improvement plan.
