Committee approves late‑fee policy for review by Corporation Counsel

The committee reviewed a proposed late‑fee policy and accompanying customer letter intended for inclusion in the department’s Policies and Procedures. Lisa Bauknecht explained that, at present, two long‑term past‑due accounts were identified: Whit's End (balance $179, account revoked) and War Transport (two unpaid cardboard loads). The committee voted to approve the policy and to have the documents reviewed by Corporation Counsel prior to sending statements; the letters are planned to be mailed with customer statements at the end of September.
