Board approves developer impact-fee study despite cost confusion

The board voted to contract TischlerBise to perform an impact-fee study that will examine whether new residential developments should bear fees to support district capital needs. Administration said the study is necessary to evaluate whether impact fees would be viable in Cherokee County and noted the procurement requires board approval of an exemption.
